Paragon Estate and Building Safety
Anthony Gold’s housing team were recently instructed by a group of leaseholders and tenants on the Paragon Estate after they spent two years living behind scaffolding and with no insulation to the walls of their flats, following cladding removal in 2018.
On Monday came the shocking news that the estate and some 858 households – the whole estate – were to be evacuated within a week, because the construction of the buildings presented serious fire safety concerns.
Giles Peaker, Partner, and Eleanor Solomon, Solicitor, at Anthony Gold Solicitors act on behalf of the clients.
Commenting on the events, Mr Peaker and Ms Solomon said:
“The evacuation at such short notice is extremely distressing and disruptive for our clients, after having been in unsafe conditions for so long.
We are committed to seeing our clients safely rehoused and recompensed for what they have been through over the last two years, culminating in their evacuation from buildings which are seriously unsafe.”
