About Peter Mantell

“I take personal responsibility for all phases of a transaction so that my clients get joined up law. Delay is the most frequent reason for transactions failing so my keeping personal control gives the best opportunity for a positive outcome.”

Peter Mantell qualified as a notary public in 2012 and has worked in this professions continuously since that time.

Peter offers notarial services by appointment in all three Anthony Gold offices to both the general public and Anthony Gold clients. His work includes certifying and witnessing documents for use in all foreign jurisdictions as well as some specialist professional witness work in England and Wales.

Aa a notary public Peter is separately qualified and regulated by the Faculty Office of the Archbishop of Canterbury. His notarial work is completely separate from his work as a solicitor and from Anthony Gold Solicitors.

Notarial Services include:

  • Witnessing Documents for use in other jurisdictions including foreign affidavits and Statutory Declaration.
  • Carrying out identification for clients who need to provide their identity to a non-UK based entity such as a bank or insurance company.
  • Certifying facts for use abroad including proof of life for foreign pension funds and statements of law for use in court proceedings
  • Certifying company documents to satisfy regulators in other jurisdictions.
  • Verifying UK documents such as qualifications, birth, marriage and death certificates which need to be entered into evidence or relied upon by foreign courts and professional bodies.

Peter can usually offer an appointment on short notice, depending upon which office you wish to use. He can also attend clients out of the office for an additional fee.

About Peter Mantell

Peter Mantell is an associate partner at Anthony Gold.  He specialises in the Commercial and Conveyancing department, based in our offices in South London at Elephant & Castle.

Peter joined Anthony Gold when his previous firm merged in 2003.  Prior to his legal career Peter spent 10 years in industry working in FTSE100 companies and has a client’s view of what companies want from their advisors.

Commercial clients want to know what is important to them rather than a recitation of the legal issues.  Looking at a transaction in the round and determining how to get to the right result is vital.

Peter is a Conveyancing Quality Scheme certified solicitor.  This is a new quality standard for residential transactions and Anthony Gold has invested heavily in compliance and the opportunities this brings.  We have re-evaluated our methods and taken residential conveyancing forward using a faster and more detailed methodology. For example Peter exclusively uses electronic searches for all types of matters resulting in a quicker and more easily tracked transaction.
