Our client's husband was facing possible bankruptcy. We acted to protect her interest in the matrimonial home by issuing protective declaratory proceedings....

Religious dispute over circumcision of young boy

We acted for the mother in a religious dispute between a Muslim mother and a Hindu father over the circumcision of their son....


Other recent cases include
:

  • An ancillary relief case in which, after extensive enquiry, assets of over £5 million were found following inspection appointments and the extensive use of experts.
  • An ancillary relief case involving a substantial family home and very complex pension assets with older parties focusing on the need for ongoing maintenance and issues of future financial security.
  • A cohabitant case involving a business client whose assets exceeded £10 million. In addition to the assets themselves there were complex issues of law.
  • Other more straightforward cases of cohabitation disputes or financial issues in divorce proceedings. These often involve more straightforward assets ranging from thousands of pounds up to many millions. We also draft pre-nuptial and pre-civil partnership agreements.
  • Acting for a client in France with assets in France, UK and offshore. This was handled in the UK jurisdiction. We acted for the Petitioner wife and achieved a settlement of just under £1 million. The case also involved parenting arrangements.
  • A case involving UK/Canadian dual nationals, one of whom now lives in the UK, the other in Canada. There were substantial assets in both jurisdictions and in tax havens in trust funds. The assets were in excess of £3 million.
  • Same sex couple disputes and Separation Agreements in addition to "Living Together" Agreements.
  • Numerous cases involving disputes about contact and residence and also public law proceedings.
