Our client was unable to earn an income, due to ill health. However, over the years he had acquired substantial assets which are held in off-shore trusts.

He married but the marriage lasted only a very short time. The marriage did however produce a young child.

The family law team contstructed an out of court settlement which protects the wife's accommodation for life, and provides her with an income and protection against the eventuality of our client's death. However, our client's assets were protected with none being passed to his wife.
