Tony Gold graduated from King's College, London, which he entered aged 17, and was articled in the City. He passed the Solicitors Final Examination with honours and after qualification as a solicitor in 1957 spent two years National Service in the Army during which he was commissioned.
He founded Anthony Gold Solicitors in 1963 with a staff of two. He was instrumental in building the modern, progressive law firm that Anthony Gold is today.
He has amassed a wealth of experience over the years and since his retirement as Senior and Managing Partner has continued to practice part time as a consultant to the firm. He is still consulted on many of the firm's decisions and he continues to act for a number of clients.
Tony's current areas of practise are trust work and professional negligence. He is a professional trustee of various family trusts and he is currently also involved in a claim against solicitors for professional negligence in tax work.
In the past few years he has become chairman of a number of charitable trusts and charities. He also now has time to pursue his interests in modern history and travel.
