Kim Beatson

Kim is Head of the Family Law department. She specialises in all aspects of family law with an emphasis on finance, for both married and unmarried couples. Kim is known to be extremely business-like in her approach and she takes a pride in providing a cost effective service to her clients.

She was one of the first solicitors in the country to qualify as a family mediator and she has a busy mediation practice with many referrals from other family lawyers. She is also trained as a collaborative lawyer.

Kim is highly regarded by both the legal world and by her clients. She is recognised as a “leading individual” in Chambers Guide to the Legal Profession 2009, where she is commended for her "impeccable judgement" as well as her "constructive and positive approach". She is also listed in The Legal 500 where she is described as "first-rate" and is recommended for her "strategic advice, response times and helpfulness". In Legal Experts Anthony Gold’s family department is described as being “extremely well regarded”.

Kim is a Board member of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals. She is a past chair of Resolution. She is also a member of the Law Society’s Advanced Family Panel, which recognises exceptional expertise in family law, the Law Society’s Advanced Mediation Panel and she is a Resolution accredited specialist in financial and cohabitation disputes.

Outside work Kim is a qualified football referee and enjoys all sport.
