Peter Walker

Peter is a Wills and Trusts specialist with over 22 years' experience. He joined Anthony Gold in November 2007.

He is an appointed Property and Affairs Deputy of the Court of Protection. He is regularly requested by the courts to act as Deputy, or as a Professional Trustee; where there are inter-family disputes, including pursuing the recovery of assets in this country and abroad.

Peter has acted as Receiver (now renamed Property and Affairs Deputies) in over 100 cases, including acting for brain damaged children and for adults living in the community. As a result, he has built up an extensive knowledge of the tax and benefit systems, equipment and services available.

Peter is fully conversant with the recent changes in law and procedure following implementation of the Mental Capacity Act 2007 and relating to the taxation of wills and trusts in general.

As well as regularly advising clients regarding personal injury trusts, Peter also prepares Wills for the mentally disabled and sets up and runs trusts for disabled people.

Peter regularly advises families on the best format of Wills or trusts intended to benefit mentally or physically disabled relatives.
