Katherine specialises in all aspects of personal injury law including road traffic accidents, occupiers' liability and employers’ liability cases. She also undertakes clinical negligence work.
Recent cases include obtaining an award of £70,000 for a budding TV presenter who suffered a brain injury as a result of hitting her head, which led to difficulties maintaining her chosen career. She also obtained a £20,000 settlement for a healthcare worker who suffered chemical burns to his hands in the course of his employment. In another case, Katherine secured an award in excess of £60,000 for a woman whose injury at work brought on underlying back symptoms which would not have occurred for four to five years if the accident had not taken place.
Katherine graduated from the University of Leeds with a Joint Honours degree in English and History before undertaking the CPE at City University and the LPC at the College of Law, London for which she gained a Distinction. Katherine trained with Anthony Gold and qualified as a solicitor in 2009.
Katherine is vice-chair of the Junior Lawyers Division of the South London Law Society. She is a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers and she contributes regularly to APIL's Personal Injury Law, Practice and Precedents Bulletin.
Outside of work Katherine's interests include travelling and distance running. She also enjoys scuba diving and is certified as an Advanced PADI Open Water Diver.
