Ian joined Anthony Gold in 2010 and became a Partner in February 2011. He specialises in leasehold enfranchisement and employment law and is head of leasehold services.
Ian has developed a reputation in the field of collective enfranchisement and lease extensions and has been involved in a significant number of leasehold enfranchisement cases in recent years.
He regularly acts for residential tenants wishing to acquire their building's freehold, or who are looking to extend the term of their lease. Where a landlord is not readily co-operating he is able to assist clients take such matters to the Leasehold Valuation Tribunal for determination. Ian also regularly acts for landlords in respect of the same procedures. Ian advises freeholders and leaseholders regularly on all manner of leasehold issues.
Ian is a member of the Association of Leasehold Enfranchisement Practitioners.
