Get to know your neighbour day

On Saturday 04 September 2010 The Sydenham Hill Tenants and Residents Association (SyTRA) in conjunction with Anthony Gold and a number of other local businesses held a party on the old disused basketball court situated in the heart of the estate. Debra Wilson and Ian Mitchell of the Streatham office were warmly welcomed by the attending residents. This was a fantastic event offering all residents the chance to meet their neighbours, get some free food, enjoy live music and keep the kids entertained for the afternoon.

The recently formed Sydenham Hill Tenants and Residents Association (SyTRA) is improving living conditions for all residents on the estate. Anthony Gold will continue to support SyTRA’s efforts. SyTRA must be commended for:-

- saving the tenants £14,500 in service charges
- ensuring the incoming new freeholder/estate management company (London and Quadrant) are aware of the residents’ immediate needs
- Lobbing the outgoing freeholder
- empowering the community

Long overdue improvement works are scheduled for the estate. These events illustrate how important it is for a large estate to have an active residents association.
