The opening was hosted by Brian Carlin and Jenny Page of ASPIRE and David Marshall and Jenny Kennedy of Anthony Gold.

Anthony Gold, specialists in catastrophic injury claims, was delighted to sponsor the adaptation of ASPIRE's first fully adapted house in the Midlands. This is a new addition to ASPIRE's short-term supported housing programme for people with spinal cord injuries across the UK.

Jenny Kennedy, a Partner and catastrophic injury claims specialist, says, "We are proud of our longstanding support for the work of ASPIRE. We hope the Anthony Gold House will bring much needed assistance to spinal cord injury patients, enabling them to live a full life once again."

People are often unable to be discharged from a Spinal Injury Unit following their rehabilitation programme because their home environment is not suited to their new needs. The ASPIRE Anthony Gold Independent Living House is a specially adapted house where newly discharged spinal injury patients will be able to start to live independently whilst their own homes are being adapted or new accommodation is sought.

Brian Carlin, Chief Executive of ASPIRE, says, "Thank you for agreeing to support ASPIRE with funding for adaptations. I know this will provide a valuable service to those with spinal cord injury and offer them the opportunity of leading an independent life with their families whilst they await their permanent home to become available. The generosity of Anthony Gold has provided a wonderful opportunity to provide accessible housing to spinally injured people within Coventry and assist them in rebuilding their lives and face an uncertain future with increased confidence."
